Fire is a source of light, heat, protection, nutrition, and much more. Fire is cared for and tended to with kindling and kindling was carried from place to place when starting a fire was not understood. With the movement of fire comes the knowledge of how to care for it, how to use it, and certain inherent dangers. Fire brings people together for stories in the warmth and glow, to eat, to pray, and to exchange knowledge and support.
BeKindling.org is inspired by the undertaking of carrying and caring for a source of beauty and strength, a place for sharing stories and lessons, and an opportunity for kindling ideas, relationships and connections. We are growing an online learning community with a wide variety of classes, blogs, workshops, forums, and more. We welcome all and invite you to stay curious!
Our site is free to use and members-only. Login or contact us below. If you’d like to become a member, please let us know about your interests in the message field (i.e. I am joining Jessie’s workshop, I am interested in creating or joining a forum, I would like to teach online, etc.) and we’ll be in touch.
For the mind does not require filling like a bottle, but rather, like wood, it only requires kindling to create in it an impulse to think independently and an ardent desire for the truth. -Plutarch
